{"id":288,"date":"2016-05-24T23:26:30","date_gmt":"2016-05-24T23:26:30","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/newblog.primefactorisation.com\/2016\/05\/24\/geometry-notebook-unit-dividers-and-sbg-score-sheets\/"},"modified":"2024-11-02T15:04:07","modified_gmt":"2024-11-02T20:04:07","slug":"geometry-notebook-unit-dividers-and-sbg-score-sheets","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.primefactorisation.com\/blog\/2016\/05\/24\/geometry-notebook-unit-dividers-and-sbg-score-sheets\/","title":{"rendered":"Geometry Notebook Unit Dividers and SBG Score Sheets"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Following on from <a href=\"https:\/\/www.primefactorisation.com\/blog\/2016\/05\/22\/geometry-units-and-skills\/\">planning units for Geometry<\/a>, I&#8217;ve created SGB score sheets for students that also act as dividers between units for their notebooks.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"\/content\/images\/2016\/05\/geometry-dividers.png\" alt=\"all dividers\" \/><\/p>\n<p>If this idea seems familiar, that&#8217;s because I&#8217;ve <a href=\"https:\/\/mathequalslove.net\/unit-table-of-contents-for-inbs-with\/\">totally stolen it from my wife<\/a>. I feel like that&#8217;s justified, though, because she&#8217;s already asked me to send her the template so she can use it herself this year. I&#8217;ve seen some of Sarah&#8217;s students&#8217; notebooks that use these, and can attest that they work really well.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"\/content\/images\/2016\/05\/geomdivider02.png\" alt=\"one divider\" \/><br \/>\n<em>That&#8217;s Euclid, in case you were wondering.<\/em><\/p>\n<p>They work by folding the sheet of paper along the middle of the narrow rectangle, then gluing the sheet around one page of a notebook so that the unit name sticks out the side of the book.<\/p>\n<p>You can find my files here, including a blank template:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.dropbox.com\/s\/b1bnujj51ulahzp\/dividers.pub?dl=1\">dividers.pub<\/a><\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.dropbox.com\/s\/xzguvgdvjo3mh1c\/dividers.pdf?dl=0\">dividers.pdf<\/a><\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.dropbox.com\/s\/zkaxhfp0y1sfbuc\/dividers%20template.pub?dl=1\">dividers template.pub<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>You&#8217;ll need Microsoft Publisher to edit the original files. I used the fonts <a href=\"https:\/\/www.google.com\/fonts\/specimen\/Righteous\">Righteous<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.google.com\/fonts\/specimen\/Open+Sans\">Open Sans<\/a>.
